Παρουσίαση του Προέδρου της ΔΕΔΙΣΑ με τίτλο: Καθαριότητα και Ανακύκλωση: Έχουν σχέση με τον Βιώσιμο Τουρισμό;

Presentation by the President of DEDISA with title: Cleanliness and Recycling: Are they related to Sustainable Tourism?

Ολοκληρώθηκε την Παρασκευή στις 14 Οκτωβρίου 2022, το φόρουμ «CREaTE: Ένα Βιώσιμο Μέλλον για τον Τουρισμό» το οποίο διοργανώθηκε από  τον Δήμο Χανίων και τη Bespoke Communications, με την υποστήριξη του ΕΟΤ.

Στο φόρουμ συμμετείχε ο Πρόεδρος της ΔΕΔΙΣΑ Α.Ε (ΟΤΑ), κ. Τσουπάκης Μιχαήλ με σχετική παρουσίαση. Συγκεκριμένα, στην παρουσίαση του πραγματεύτηκε τη σχέση Καθαριότητας και Ανακύκλωσης με τον Βιώσιμο Τουρισμό.

Αρχικά αναφέρθηκε στη σημασία της ανακύκλωσης και στο πως ο τουριστικός τομέας επηρεάζει την παραγωγή αποβλήτων. Παρουσιάστηκαν παραδείγματα βασικών δράσεων που μπορούν να εφαρμοστούν από τις τουριστικές επιχειρήσεις για τη σωστή διαχείριση των απορριμμάτων, καθώς και επερχόμενες υποχρεώσεις τους. Tέλος, στην ομιλία αναφέρθηκαν καλά παραδείγματα δράσεων της ΔΕΔΙΣΑ Α.Ε. (ΟΤΑ) και του Δήμου Χανίων, αναφορικά στην χωριστή συλλογή και τη Διαλογή στη Πηγή (ΔσΠ), καθώς και σε επερχόμενες δράσεις ΔσΠ και ευαισθητοποίησης – ενημέρωσης, που σχετίζονται με τον τουριστικό τομέα.

«Μόνο μέσα από την πλήρη και στενή συνεργασία Δήμου, φορέων, επαγγελματιών και πολιτών σε θέματα περιβαλλοντικής διαχείρισης, Ανακύκλωσης και Καθαριότητας θα φτάσουμε στον επιθυμητό στόχο, έναν βιώσιμο τουρισμό».

On Friday, October 14, the forum “CREaTE: A Sustainable Future for Tourism”, organized by the Municipality of Chania and Bespoke Communications, with the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization, was successfully completed.

The President of DEDISA S.A (OTA), Mr. Tsoupakis Michael, participated in the forum with presentation. Ιn his presentation, discusses the relationship between Cleanliness, Recycling and Sustainable Tourism.

At the beginning, the importance of recycling and how the tourism affects waste production at Chanea Municipality are explained. Examples of key actions that can be implemented by tourism businesses for proper waste management and waste reduction are mentioned. Also, there are references to upcoming obligations for tourist businesses in accordance with the Greek law. Finally, good practices regarding the separate collection of waste and waste separation at source by the Inter-municipal Solid Waste Management Enterprise [DEDISA S.A. (OTA)] and the Municipality of Chania, as well as upcoming awareness-raising actions, which are directly related to the local tourism industry are mentioned.
